United Nations

In 1995 Italy started making special plates for vehicles of the United Nations that are used in Italy. They are very similar to the diplomatic plates issued between 1985 and 1994, with a blue code followed by a number of three digits in black and then two letters in blue. There are three codes in use, according to this list:

• UN: permanent vehicles.
• UNP: vehicles used by the personnel.
• UNT: vehicles that only pass in Italy (in other sources I found the code UND).

At the present time only one picture of a UNP plate is available and I want to thank Paolo Tosato very much for it. Anyway I hope to have soon new images to insert in this page.
